Hello

I retired during the pandemic and it took me a while to realize just how important having a purpose in life was. Finding your purpose isn’t easy, but it turns out it wasn’t that hard, either. I knew what I didn’t want to do, like get a job since my last one was so horrible, and I knew what I did like to do, like making things. Turns out having a history of collecting craft hobbies gives me the experience, and the supplies, to spend my spare time in my craft room. Starting a craft blog seemed like the logical next step.

I want to share the joy and happiness I feel when creating something cohesive and beautiful out of its disparate parts. Most recently, I decided I needle a needle book. I’ve been doing a great deal of embroidery lately and the needle book will definitely come in handy.

One of my favorite project research methods is to delve into Pinterest. There were far more needle books than I expected. Before realized I needed one, I kind of thought needle books were too old-fashioned and no-one used them anymore. Boy, was I wrong!

The variety ranged from fabric to felt, from old-fashioned to modern, junk-journal type books. I like a neater style so felt seemed to be the best choice for the book base. Plus, I like the look and ease of working with felt and I like how embroidery looks worked on wool felt.
